The 9th Indian Youth Science Congress (IYSC) will be held during April 07-09, 2018 at Career Point University, Hamirpur (HP). The conference is an annual event that provides an opportunity for young researchers to present their work. The 9th edition of the congress is being jointly organized by M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, SRM University Chennai, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development Chennai, Career Point University Hamirpur (HP) and Kota (Rajasthan).
This year the theme is "Role of young scientists in developing new India", that focuses on Vision of New India viz Skill India, Clean India, Start Up India, Digital India, Smart cities, and Stand-up India. It will deliberate inter alia on Technological Innovations; Nutritional Health & Food Security; Climate Change & Carbon Sinks; Early Warning Signals; Natural Resources and Biodiversity; Traditional Wisdom; Vision of youth for India; Mathematical Modelling of Physical and Engineering Problems etc. Young students and researchers are being invited to submit their solutions using science and technology for future India.
It is expected that there will be lot of interest of students for participation.

Career Point University, Hamipur (H.P.)
The 9th Indian Youth Science Congress will be held at Career Point University, Hamirpur (H.P.). Jointly organized by Career Point University, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, SRM University and Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, the congress aims to provide a platform for young students and researchers to present their research work and discuss priority issues in enabling science and technology applications for human welfare. The young students will have an opportunity to interact with a galaxy of eminent scientists and policy experts in the field of Science and Technology.
Participation is invited from young research scholars and students (B.Sc./B.Tcch/ M.Sc / M.Tech / Research Fellows / Post Doc) to present their work. The sessions will grouped into Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Food and Nutrition, and Societal Development. Interested participants may submit abstracts of their papers, in any of this area of research. Students and scholars who are not presenting their work can also register as observers without submitting any abstract.

Travel: Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for travel.
Accommodation: Free accommodation in guest houses of the University will be arranged for registered delegates based on availability and on first-come-first serve basis.
A key feature of this edition of Youth Science Congress will be an essay competition among the students on “22 March 2018”. Interested participant are requested to submit their write up by email to indianyouthscience@gmail.com, with a maximum word limit of 1500. A certificate from one of your faculty members should accompany the entries stating that these are original writings of the person submitting the entry.
Ten best entries will be selected and provided an opportunity to present their views in the plenary session. These selected students will be provided free registration and accommodation and travel support for participation in the event. Also, these select essays will be featured in the proceedings as a separate section.
M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was registered in 1988 as a non-profit Trust.
